The problem with not allowing density adjacent to currently zoned "apartment neighbourhoods" is that it causes adverse reactions such that we end up tearing down great, and relatively affordable buildings. The environmental and human cost of this is high. tinyurl.com/2hrfnvas

If you can't be at council on April 17th, you can still write in. Easiest way: 1. Go here: secure.toronto.ca/council/agenda… 2. Click on "Submit Comments" at the top. 3. If you have an email program or are logged into Gmail, you should get a pre-formatted email and can add your comments /2

You can assume there is a lot of overlap between people saying a neighbourhood infrastructure cannot support extra density (and claim that units are "too big"/"luxury") and those complaining about losing the VP.

"Neighbourhood associations" don't have to be used to say NO. We want to use ours to say YES to affordable housing and the potential of a lively, non-exclusive community.

All the grandfathered-in retail in our community is well loved. It's a shame it can't continue. There are ghosts of past residential-zoned retail all around us. The access to local amenities is what makes living in a city desirable! thestar.com/news/gta/i-am-…

Ghosts of residential-zone commercial past and present in our community. It’s a shame that there doesn’t seem to be any will from other residents associations or council to ensure these great neighbourhood additions are a part of our future.
