Happy #FossilFriday from Haptodus garnettensis, on display in the Dawn of Life gallery Royal Ontario Museum

Happy #ThinSectionThursday from the #ElementalAnalysisFacility Field Museum where I have been blasting dicynodont bones all week⚡️🦴

Took some very special family members to the Field Museum members’ night to see the #fullontogeneticseries & the #ChicagoArchaeopteryx and had a fantastic time chatting about bone histology to everyone that came by! #ThinSectionThursday

Happy #FossilFriday from #archaeopteryx Field Museum. Photos do not do this specimen justice. Akiko Shinya & Connie Van Beek have outdone themselves with this masterpiece of prep. Congratulations to all! #Dinosaur #Paleontology

For today's #FossilFriday it's Dimetrodon milleri at the Museum of Comparative Zoology. Rather small for a Dimetrodon, this species has previously been reported as sexually dimorphic although the evidence is tenuous at best.

Had to make a stop Wits University to see some old friends before heading to the field tomorrow #Gorgons #mummifiedLystrosaurus #fossils

This #FossilFriday is brought to you by these very fine bone tissue textures that are part of an upcoming paper about #gorgonopsian #bone #histology 🦠🔬🍖🎥 Video credit to University of Washington alumn Ken Williford
