Colton Crockett did a great job over the course of the week lowering his launch angle to get more on plane. Colton was hitting more line drives and closer to getting on top of the ball and should see success on the big field once this transition is finalized. Good body control

All Kenny Burk does is hit line drives. Simple operation and soft foot strike that got way more consistent and level as the week went on. Expect to see a lot of doubles out of Kenny this spring. Tremendous body control and positioning out of this 7th grader

Danell Mann from Archbishop Curley had a good week seeing much improvement in consistency and ability to use the middle of the field. Worked on a lot of extreme pitches in the strike zone and correcting contact points and swing movements and wound up bettering use of the gaps

Dawson Wetherald was our resident power hitter this week smashing balls over 300 ft and getting 25-35 degree LA. A lot more juice in the swing as the back knee coil can be improved until foot strike and it shouldn’t take much to get this big man into the 90 mph club.

Carter Vinar of ⁦Gambrills Athletic Club, Inc⁩ 13U team showed a very simple short compact swing during the week. Timing was off hitting lots of flyballs and ground balls on the week but that should improve with time.

CJ Parrott showed some pull side juice and ability to barrel baseballs pullside this week. Has more power in the frame that will improve as he syncs up upper and lower half and gets the upper half to work towards the middle of the field and straighten out the bottom arm

Good separation being showed here by 2027 Mason Kolodziejski. Good back leg coil that is in sync with the rest of the body. Just need strength to be added to this fundamentally sound 8th grader to help drive the swing through the ball.

The so called “PO” may not be a PO much longer as the older Patel was smoking some balls consistently in the mid 70’s by the end of the week. Much better control and body rhythm as the week went on utilizing his long limbs and strength to be on time and barrel baseballs

First up from our MLK Day Hitting Evals is Eric Miller. Eric is a line drive machine with excellent body control. Has a little more pop in his swing that will come from improved separation but has a swing that will definitely play. Fun one to watch down the road!

Next up is Matthew Seghetti of ⁦Gambrills Athletic Club, Inc⁩ line drive hitter with some push tendencies. Has some power for a 7th grader when on time and barrel is fast into the hitting zone. Improved lower half coil and efficient hand path should get Matt some more consistent pop!

Logan Fulda also of ⁦Gambrills Athletic Club, Inc⁩ showed some good bat to ball skills during the session. Bat was into the zone quick and was highlighted by this line drive! Consistent extension and adjustment to his contact points will result in more line drives like this!

2027 Adam Sealing of ⁦TEAM XP⁩ showed a good kinematic sequence on the day getting the hips firing while staying closed with the upper body. Shoulders and bat stayed in line showing good posture. If hips can stay closed until foot strike, should have more consistent pop

Big fan of Connor Mullan and the simplicity of his operation. Nice toe tap to help be on time and simple and direct path of the hands and barrel to the ball. Kept the ball low on his rounds mostly and got good contact for multiple base knocks

Last recap of the night goes to Mr. Chase Pakulla of Severna Park HS. Consistent ability to put the barrel on the baseball. Simple toe tap to help with timing. Slight uppercut that generates topspin. Lower half will improve by anchoring the ground more & getting full hip rotation

In round 2 of MLK hitting recaps we have Joe Choe! Joe was bringing some nice pop off the bat with a consistent 26-33 degree LA. Balls were continuously barreled on the round with good body control. EV should increase as the LA gets into a 15-20 degree area.

Palacios Baseball Showcase (@palacioshowcase) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Next up we have Caden Schnabel! Caden was able to hit to all fields despite a pretty steep shoulder tilt that creates a low vertical bat angle. Was able to drive some singles pull side and up the middle which was good to see. Some slight posture adjustments should increase his EV

Awesome getting a chance to meet Eli last week on MLK day. Great listener and willing learner. Excited to see how he looks next year as he grows and is able to get the hands through more to drive the ball to all fields and not just be a push hitter right now.

Palacios Baseball Showcase (@palacioshowcase) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Next up is Justin Hunter. Justin does a great job with using his hips and lower half separating from the upper body and pulling everything through. More consistent hand path and more top hand work should get him to be more consistent using the middle of the field

Palacios Baseball Showcase (@palacioshowcase) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Declan definitely cam in with some pop for a 2027! Hands and upper body were slightly disconnected from lower half getting pushy. Should be fixed over time with more body control as he gets used to his frame. Top hand work and contact point adjustment are key over the next year

Palacios Baseball Showcase (@palacioshowcase) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Last we have Cooper Fisher of Gambrills Athletic Club, Inc Cooper does a real good job of getting into his back leg and keeping his lower half to the middle of the field. His body tilt and strong top hand can cause him to get spinny and pull happy. Easy fixes and stock will rise!
