Afternoon. Think about this. "Ireland has a supply problem, consider that Government spending has ballooned by 47 per cent from €71 billion to €105 billion over the last five years. How can we have spent so much money with so little to show for it?" irishtimes.com/opinion/2024/0…

Today marks the 226th anniversary of the legendary ‘Races of Castlebar,’ in 1798: 2000 🇫🇷 French troops and 🟩 Irish Rebels routed 6000 🇬🇧Crown militia at Castlebar. ▪️Crown militia fled as far as Tuam and Athlone, abandoning weaponry (and General Lake's personal luggage) -

Phenomenal thread - I have faced more resistance to my show about optimism than I have for my shows about the murders of our leaders. I am determined that optimism will win. Remove your head from 20th century tribute-act culture and politics and deal with the here and now.

INDIGESTION ! A play written and performed by Seamus O’Rourke This play has been described as sensitive, hilarious, intelligent, absolutely compelling and refreshingly forthright. A man, whose name we never hear, tells us his story of a life, always slightly out of his control..
