Well-known actress Dorette Potgieter recently addressed the Paarl Rotary Club via Zoom, to speak about her unique film-making course for offenders. The course is presented at Pollsmoor Prison, to equip inmates in the film-making business. The course is followed by career support.

The Winelands Cycle Race over 98km was held in pouring rain in Wellington on Sunday. Cyclists who had entered decided to brave the weather, determined to cycle in their first road race since the start of the pandemic. Race ended in a tie with Alex Heward and Gert Heyns.

A cheque for 1000 Euro from the Rotary Club of Bensheim in Germany was recently presented to Paarl Rotary Club by Rotarian Dr Albrecht Dörr, who hails from the Bensheim region. The donation is destined for the Royalty Project in Paarl which provides counselling to schoolchildren 🙌🏼

The Rotary Club of Paarl has been involved in the upgrading of the Kerith Retreat for mental patients in Muldersvlei for the past year. After the upgrading of the kitchen and laundry and some housing units, the club has launched a food garden. Here they plant some lemon trees.
