Si's Insights @Middlesbruhh He was not a great keeper for us, sure brilliant keeper for Barca but no for Boro. Top 3 keepers in my lifetime are Schwarzer, Pears & Randolph.

Paul Smith @Middlesbruhh He was a 'sweeper keeper'. A Hollywood saver. A sort of Neuer type. Not the kind of character that needed between the sticks - we like dependables. Like Schwarzer, Given, Randolph and Pears.

Paul Smith @Middlesbruhh Bizarrely, I think Valdes and Mejias were more gifted than Dimi. But he fit the mould better than either. It's not enough to plant a Spanish 'keeper behind the Boro backline and hope it somehow clicks.

Si's Insights Paul Smith @Middlesbruhh I think the thing with Dimi was he cans in on a short term deal as a 4th choice and kept his head down and showed safe pair of hands and kept plenty of clean sheets understood the area with his Hartlepool wife

Andrew Si's Insights @Middlesbruhh Dimi's a loyal servant to the club and has over achieved in his career based on pure talent level alone. Would much rather have Dimi than Valdes.
