What do the press think they would achieve by saying that extra officers were being drafted in because the police in Sunderland could not cope. That’s just stupid and incitement to more violence

Was watching the policing in Rotherham around the hotel. Trying to work out how the officers ended up with their backs against the wall and almost surrounded by the mob. That could have gone seriously wrong, just glad it did not.

A big thank you to all the officers who have had to deal with these riots and hope all those who got injured that it was not serious and you heal quickly.
