The recently concluded Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society conference focused on ending maternal mortalities due to PPH with a whole day dedicated for PPH skills training through the E-MOTIVE Trial approach.
The E-MOTIVE Trial showed the benefits of objective measurement of blood loss during vaginal birth via the calibrated drapes. Visual estimation is usually wrong and misleading and may lead to wrong diagnosis of PPH. The Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society provided a platform to share the best practice
