We are shocked to hear of the Oxford Brookes decision to close so many of their key departments, particularly Music. Academics like Alexandra Wilson are doing popular, unique, and important work on current topics. It is a loss for Oxford and a short-sighted decision for Brookes.

UPDATE: UPDATE: For anyone who wants to help, please write to the Governors/VC. "Don't close the course" is unlikely to cut the mustard. Please request the University give music more time (12 months min) to redevelop progs so as to retain staff teaching and research excellence.
