We are shocked to hear of the Oxford Brookes decision to close so many of their key departments, particularly Music. Academics like Alexandra Wilson are doing popular, unique, and important work on current topics. It is a loss for Oxford and a short-sighted decision for Brookes.
The news that Oxford Brookes is closing its Music Department is terribly, terribly sad. A screed📜 (1/11)
Alexandra Wilson Oxford Brookes It was with the The Oxford Opera Society and Italian Soc back in February, at the New Theatre! I do hope you are coping and want you to know just how many of us support you, your colleagues, and your students!
Oxford people! It would be lovely to see you at a talk I am giving on Thursday at 6pm at the Town Hall, about Puccini (the man, the music, his place in history), which precedes a wonderful concert at 7pm with Joseph Calleja and the orchestra of English National Opera! Tell your friends! 1/
