The Health & Care Bill is back in the Commons tmrw. It divides the NHS into 42 areas led by Integrated Care Boards which - incredibly - private companies will be allowed to sit on. I believe private companies should *never* get a say in how the NHS is run. Pls RT if you do too

👋 Meet our medics: Kathleen Shields is a children's nurse who normally works with the NHS in Manchester. At the UK-Med field hospital in #Gaza, she cared for ill and injured children including newborn babies.

📍 Our team built a second field hospital in Deir Al Balah, #Gaza, in only 4⃣ days. Anticipating that people would evacuate north from #Rafah, we secured space and prepositioned equipment. Already, we're seeing nearly 200 patients per day at the site.

The UK Emergency Medical Team facilitated a fully immersive outbreak simulation exercise to strengthen preparedness and ensure our teams are trained to effectively deliver a unified response to emergencies🚑 Thank you to our partners, Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the specialist participants.
