One year ago today, 16-year- old ⁦Owen Brady⁩ was told he had a cancerous tumor just below his knee. After invasive surgery and six rounds of chemo, he’s back on the ice and chasing his dream of playing for the Oshawa Generals, the team that chose him in the OHL draft.

This is Owen Brady. In 2018, he was robbed of the chance of being a first-round OHL pick after a tumour was found near his knee. As of today, Owen is officially cancer free. And he plans to return for his final junior season to the Carleton Place Canadians in the fall.
