Squad competed at the 1A/2A Individual State Championships today. Team finishes 3rd. Individual placers: Austin Boltinghouse - 5th Noah Pendleton - 2nd Hunter Sloan - 8th William Doty - 8th Proud of all the Patriots who competed today! The future is bright!

5 years ago, 3 OV wrestlers came to the NHSCA National Duals in VAB on different teams. This was a first for OV wrestling. This year, OV boys wrapped up the tournament with a 3-3 record. An exciting first, the OV girls wrestling team made the trek down and finished 2-4.

What’s the saying? “Summer wrestling makes winter Champions” This group gets it! Middle of June at 9am… it would be easy to stay home or sleep in. 32 kids from 3 schools, elementary to HS, showed up to put work in! This is what it takes!

Day 1 of the Chattanooga Team Camp in! 2 great technique sessions done and won our first team dual of the camp. We’ll get some rest and be ready bright and early in the morning!

Squad had a great day 2 at camp, lots of great technique and fun to be had. Went 5-0 today to run our record to 6-0 in team duals!

Squad finishes 8-2 in team duals, placing 4th out of 26 teams! Patriots qualify 4 wrestlers for the all star dual team tomorrow morning! Couldn’t be more proud of this group! One last technique session plus the all star dual tomorrow! Let’s gooo!

That’s a wrap for the Chattanooga Team Camp! Squad had a phenomenal experience learning a bunch of technique and getting quality competition. Most importantly, these Owen Valley student athletes will never forget the time spent bonding together on a college campus!
