This week in class Maplewood Elementary we learned the meaning of veteran, the history of Veterans Day, ceremonies/landmarks/items locally and nationally that honor our veterans. We completed our study this week by making letters, cards, and comics to thank our veterans.

Last day of school & we are still learning! We did an experiment to help us better understand how pollution ruins Earth’s features as a wrap up from unit 5 Maplewood Elementary #wearewayne.


Signs are everywhere, but this one really spoke to me today. I have been fortunate to be a classroom teacher Maplewood Elementary for 18 yrs. Next year I will join the special area team as a computer science teacher. As a Wayne Alumni I am excited to begin this new journey #wearewayne


Here are 3 of my former 4th grade students Maplewood Elementary who are now high school graduates. Attending open houses are one of my favorite parts of this time of year! I can’t wait to see what else they accomplish in life. #wearewayne
