Yesterday Class 3 Overchurch enjoyed creating new games and challenges with their friends in the forest. It was a joy to see the children working together and sharing experiences with huge smiles at #OverchurchForestSchool

We had to wrap up Class 2 Overchurch for a wet #OverchurchForestSchool morning and the children have grown so much since we last wore puddle suits! Length and comparing height engaged lots of children in their independent play!

It was lovely to see @overchurch8 back at #OverchurchForestSchool today and learning about the fire triangle, making fairy fires and toasting marshmallows to make S’mores 🔥

Reception Classes have all enjoyed s’mores at #overchurchforestschool

A creative afternoon making our own ‘paint’ at #overchurchforestschool We used the pestle & mortar to grind and pummel leaves, flowers and charcoal to make colours from nature! We also discovered a happy face inside a fallen horse chestnut and welcomed Mrs Igoe as a volunteer 💚

Learning about the fire triangle and safely lighting our own fairy fires this week for Class 2 Overchurch and Class 3 Overchurch

We enjoyed our #OverchurchForestSchool this morning and collected lots of different sized sticks for our fire; finger thick, thumb thick and wrist thick. We knew they were dry if they snapped in half! We loved forest donuts as a special treat at snack time 🥰

We lọved harvesting our green beans and nearly all of us tried them. They were delicious and sweet and lots of children ate 5 or 6 until we ran out! Eco-Schools England Overchurch Eco

An end of year treat for Class 2 Overchurch and Class 3 Overchurch with free play and forest donuts!

A sunny afternoon with Class 1 Overchurch with lots of independent play, fire lighting with Mrs C, and forest donuts for a treat! We had to manage our feelings and reactions too as we were calmly avoiding a few sneaky wasps who wanted to join in with our fun!
