Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours

And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words

For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them

Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need

In my distress I called to the Lord; I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came before him, into his ears

But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you

And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you

You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God
