Today we took a short walk from Trent Lock to Sawley Lock along the bank of the River Soar.. Bit breezy but well worth it..

We are swinging towards the purchase of a wide beam ! Mainly as we have pets and kids to accommodate ! We are looking for a residential mooring on the River Severn or River Trent (North) which will accommodate us and allow us to travel. Any suggestions of a good marina please ?

A quick visit to Mercia Marina today to nosey around. We’ve never been before, it was really nice 😊 definitely on our list for potential moorings! We just need to check widebeam access, although there were loo on as of wide beams more there so 🤞🏻

We spent most of our morning at Cromwell Lock & WOW, it’s enormous and impressive to watch in action. We could have quite easily spent all day watching the boats travel up and down the River Trent. Big Thank You to Sean the lock keeper for all of his helpful tips Canal & River Trust
