🙄 how I feel when a student asks for some past papers to use for revision, but didn’t bother to look at the resources on the exam board’s website under the appropriately named ‘Past Papers’ link which they I had just directed them to in a previous lesson!

So last week to cheer up my Yr10 after a what has obviously been a very frustrating term for all I gave a lesson devoted to the chemistry of Christmas. Magic dust for Rudolph.....

Another good microscale experiment successfully achieved. Note the hint of purple in the iodine and hexane mix.

I cannot take claim for this but its what can be achieved using a £30 telescope and a smart phone. #STEMeducation
