As the local community gathers ready for 11am at #Ossett to remember the #OssettFallen of #WW1& #WW2 plus other conflicts. #RemembranceSunday #LestWeForget

At the Manor Road burial ground in South Ossett is another war memorial. The names of the #WW1 locals who had died during the Great War are recorded. One of the men, Herbert Vickers, is also remembered at a family grave. Discover more about Herbert at bit.ly/HerbertVickers

Now in St Andrews for The Open, but had a quick stop at home on way up from Wimbledon. Sometimes I bring back presents from trips.

There are now 547 people remembered at the Ossett memorial. Each person has also been remembered with a poppy on the railings of the Town Hall. Other remembrance displays created by local schools & groups around the town precinct too. #RemembranceDay2023
