Today I testified before the House Subcommittee on Primary and Secondary Education on our requests for the upcoming biennium budget.

At Gallaudet University with Cedar Well and Joshua Doudt. We're talking with education students about OH School for Deaf and the positive aspects of working here.

Meeting with OSSB seniors to talk about their experiences on campus. These young adults graduate next week.

Today I am spending lunch with half the seniors at OSD (other half tomorrow) to talk about their time at the school.

Today we celebrated our student musicians at an end of band camp lunch and performance. Students worked hard all week to learn music and formations. Thank you to staff, parents and friends who joined today to cheer them on.

This morning staff from OH School for Deaf and Ohio State School for the Blind came together for our Back To School week kick-off. It was wonderful having everyone together to start a busy week preparing for students. Special thanks to all who presented information this morning.

On Monday staff members were recognized for years of service at our Back To School event. Special thanks to State Board of Education President Paul LaRue for presenting me with my 5 years of service certificate and congrats to all our staff.

So very thankful for the Eagles organization. They presented Ohio State School for the Blind with $55,000 on Saturday for our blind and visually impaired students. They are making a difference with our students. Michelle Wagner and I were grateful to accept this on behalf of the school.
