Such a strong bond with this little chap. He purrs for England, jumps up into my arms for cuddles and snoozes. 7 months old last Monday and now venturing out on his own.

Today's presents from the cat. A feather and a 14-inch twig. I receive such delights on a daily basis, but I'm not complaining. Better than mice or birds. He doesn't seem bothered about them.. yet

Hello Dolly was a fantastic show. Imelda Staunton was outstanding as was the leading man. The Waiters' scene was beautifully done. Hats off to the wonderful scenery and sets. Amazing!

The oratorio, St. Paul was premiered in 1836 and was perhaps the most popular of all Mendelssohn’s works during his lifetime. It is exciting, dramatic and unbelievably beautiful. Tickets now available from choir members or online at: yorkshirephilharmonicchoir.co.uk

The purple poppy is a symbol of remembrance for the animals that served or died in war. Our freedoms were saved by all creatures great and small. Lest we forget.

How did you conquer the flu in 1959? According to the great British public, you just needed lemon barley, whisky, tea, water, onions, brown sugar, vinegar, rum, lemonade, salt, mustard, lard, elderflower, goose grease and an old sweaty sock to hand and you'd be fine.
