I was encouraged by the Lord today in my isolated breaktimes, reading Psalm 119:

'My soul clings to the dust;
give me life according to your word!' (v25)

'I cling to your testimonies, O Lord;
let me not be put to shame!' (v31)

The truth of God's Word is worth fighting for.

After spending months in PDRL looking at english conformist works for the 16th and 17th century. I have learned that 'Arminianism' in the English context should not be understood as it is commonly used in Europe. It many cases it has no reference to Arminius and his theology.

Our congregation has been without a minister for near 18 months now and without even a parish rector for almost as long. But the Lord recently blessed us with a new rector and he visited us today, his first time running our service. It was such a blessing. Praise God.

The inscription on this 17th-century sword reads: 'When I raise this sword, so I wish that this poor sinner will receive eternal life.'

It displays a better understanding of Christian forgiveness than most people now.

Want your kids to come back home after they move out?

Start saying 'yes' more often, especially when you want to say 'no.'

You will be forced to say โ€œnoโ€ to your children for various reasons. Or, take away something in discipline. This is a normal part of being a father.
