Definitely getting to a few more islands this summer! I started collecting these stamps last year, such a fun initiative. 😀

When we first started discussing Japan years and years ago, I joked that I'd be buying an extra suitcase out there to fill with all the weird flavoured KitKats.

Yesterday we stopped off in Shanghai on a layover - but it did not go to plan! A delayed flight + airport stress meant we didn't have much time, but we headed into the city anyway & rode on the maglev train! So cool!

We are waiting for the train from Gatwick and out of the next 8 trains, 6 are delayed. We used to be a real country, etc etc.

(Yes, I'm back in the UK. 😭 Yes, I'm missing the trains in Japan!)

It's our final night in Japan - but we are going out with a bang because we've been checked in to our hotel by a robot dinosaur!!! 😂😂

Yesterday was an actual dream!! 😍 I've wanted to see Mt Fuji for as long as I can remember. Considering how prone it is to hiding in cloud, I'm so happy & thankful we got to see it. 🥰 So happy that I actually cried. 😂 And cried again when our pals had a very special moment! 💍

I got a bento box for the train, and it's IN a train. 😁

There were a lot of things I loved about Osaka - but especially the food! 😍 It's one of the most vibrant places I've ever been, and it's a fantastic base for so many other places as it's so good to come back to at night. A city I'm genuinely sad to have left.

Hard to sum up the past couple of days in a few words. Yesterday we headed to Miyajima island which was a proper pinch-me bucket list moment for me. 😍 Today we went to the heartbreaking & poignant Hiroshima Peace Museum. We also made a pitstop at Himeji Castle which is stunning!

A few highlights from Kyoto, although it's hard to narrow down my favourite photos when there are so many! Very, very beautiful and very, very busy, even with so many lovely areas to explore.

We've been in Osaka for the past couple of days, which we are absolutely loving. 😍

Within an hour of arriving in Kyoto, I got one of my dream shots. 😍

Never in a million years did I think I'd get a photo like this without anyone in, without getting up at 6am! The street was absolutely mobbed seconds before - this was literally a split second chance. ❤️

We had a running theme in Tokyo - Studio Ghibli! 😀 Anyone else a fan?

📌 Donguri store at Skytree, the Studio Ghibli museum, and Corn Barley restaurant, where we were sat with Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service!

We are on our first bullet train!! It was delayed by 9 minutes. Japanese trains are never, ever delayed AND THEN I SHOW UP. 😂😂

Today has been split into two amazing parts. First part: TeamLab Borderless. 😍 So many awesome rooms that change and evolve as you're in them. It's so immersive and even interactive in places. Loved it!

What a difference a day makes!! Bright sunshine, very busy temples, lunch at a Final Fantasy themed cafe, a quick introduction to Akihabara, and back to Shinjuku for an amazing night out for Ash's birthday!

My feet are knackered already. 🤣

Day 1 in Tokyo: it absolutely pissed it down for 12 hours straight. Because of course it did!

Didn't stop us having an excellent day though - we checked out Meiji Jingu shrine, went to Harajuku to live out my teenage dreams & explored Shibuya. 😍 Absolutely loving Japan so far!

Four years later... she's finally in Japan!!!! 🥳🤩
