It was a real pleasure to present our work at The Biophysics of Motile Cilia – from Structure to Function meeting at the Physikzentrum Bad Honnef. Grateful for the fruitful discussions with both biologists and physicists—an inspiring environment for interdisciplinary exchange.

🦠 Many cells have a single primary cilium: a micrometer-long, hair-like organelle protruding from the cell surface. Now, connectome data is helping scientists reveal the secrets of this small, elusive & often overlooked cellular appendage. ➡️ hhmi.news/3PAhkuy

The Orbach Lab had a great time at the Annual Meeting of the Israel Society for Microscopy at Expo Tel Aviv. Mohammed presented a poster full of exciting microscopy data and got some great feedback from the community. Big thanks to the organizers and everyone who stopped by!

What a treat! After far too long, the lab finally took a break for some well-earned fun. We spent the morning biking through Agamon Hula, surrounded by beautiful scenery and nesting birds, and wrapped up with a delicious lunch. Here's to more outings like this in the future! 🚲

Pre-print alert! @AmitKoIt from our lab created NaviGraph, an open source tool to easily consolidate data streams (location, head direction, calcium imaging and more) into a multi-layer graph. Great for any 2D spatial decision making layouts. bioRxiv: tinyurl.com/3njrj92n

My lab was totally destroyed tonight by an Iranian missile. Nobody was hurt. Flies, plasmids, cells, equipment - all gone. Heart breaking. If during the course of the past 16 years, you have received something from my lab - please keep them safe.

My lab at Weizmann Institute was completely demolished by the Iranian missile a few days ago. This is hard and sad as nothing was left to save. We study heart regeneration and regenerative medicine. As such, we will regenerate, regrow and rebuild. The one thing that wasn't gone is

Sad days for me & colleagues Weizmann Institute & many civilians in our region. Yet, i am also stoked to be the 2025 recipient of the Nakasone Award by the Human Frontiers - HFSP. I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams to be on such a list. Tnx! hfsp.org/hfsp-nakasone-…
