How I did it: a) Download ISO b) Added as a repo c) zypper clean --all d) rpmdb --rebuilddb e) zypper ref f) zypper dup g) Pray...

Upgrade went smoothly. Reboot (init 3). cd /usr/src/linux; make cloneconfig; make prepare; make modules; nvidia-installer -f

modprobe nvidia; shutdown -r; /usr/bin/nvidia-settings (to set TwinView)

cat /etc/SuSE-release openSUSE 12.1 Beta 1 (x86_64) VERSION = 12.1 CODENAME = Asparagus

12.1 Beta update: So far, so good. No "show stoppers". Normal operations seems faster. Noticed some differences on the rcXXX scripts.

Ok. New machine, new installation. Just installed 12.1 RC1.

Whoa! Running 12.1 RC1 on a brand new HP Z400 with 8GB DDR3, 1TB HD and an 8 core Xeon CPU is quite smooth... :-D

I'm back. For the last year or so I'd been an Ubuntu user... Didn't work for me... 13.1 and KDE now.

For the first time KPackageKit is working ok for me... Polished interface and simple operation. No need to disable it (as I did until 11.3)

Experiencing some glitches with KMix... Apparently it's a localization bug (and I'm not alone: http://bit.ly/f4D9yT)

KMix glitch confirmed. Used "LANG=en kmix" and voila... All the controls are available.

Syncing KOrganizer and Google Calendar (http://bit.ly/fZqQ17). I tried using Akonadi without success (http://bit.ly/gVCFSQ).

Getting tired of the little annoyances... For apparently no reason, I now have sound from the internal speaker and from the external ones.

And, with the KMix bug, I'm not able to change the config. I'll try to disable PulseAudio and fall back to ALSA. Wish me luck.
