Today our team is at Don's Barber Shop (4001 Ames Ave). When we heard Don was giving free back-to-school haircuts for kids in need, we jumped in to help. The OPOA stocked up on backpacks, school supplies, and other essentials, and today’s the day we get to share them.

🔥 The heat is coming back, Omaha! Friday–Sunday temps will be in the 90s, with heat index values up to 106°. If you have to be outside, take breaks, drink water, and know the signs of heat illness. Let’s keep our community safe. 🌡️

On this day in 1995, Omaha Police Officer Jimmy Wilson Jr, just 24 years old and new to the force, was killed in the line of duty. After pulling over a van with fictitious plates, two of the eight gang members inside opened fire with an AK-47 and a 9mm pistol.
