Today I travelled to Lagos State Nigeria to receive the Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club back from Kigali, Rwanda where the finals of BAL season 4 took place. History has been made! Rivers Hoopers, the third best team in Africa at the Basketball Africa League (BAL) season 4, 2024.

The leadership & culture of this basketball club is amazing. Nobody wants all the credit. Everyone shares. I can think of some clubs who need to learn from this. A club like Rivers Hoopers built on family principles will outperform cult of personality clubs built on exploitation.

For over 14 years this combo has won us 5 league titles, 1 Division 1 title, Louis Edem and Crown Elite 1 title each, 1 FIBA Africa Zone 3 championship, BAL third place finish and much more. Two of the best from both worlds (Management /Coaching). #TheKingsMen
