God did not “decree” Steven Lawson to sin. He made that choice on his own. I hate.. hate that it happened. But if this is not an eye opener to the Calvinist dogma than I do not know what is.

So if Calvinism is true, then is Steve Lawson a false prophet who was never saved? How can he be assured of salvation when he never responded to the Holy Spirit conviction of his crime? Surely, surely this thing progressed slowly.

I see a lot of similarities between Catholicism and Calvinism. Both have clergy that believe they have special gifting to understand parts of the Bible that you can’t. Meanwhile, the Bible was written to be studied and understood by the common man.
