A very interesting project in progress from Greater London. A uLEZ complaint Vauxhall Nova, using a modern Z18XE 1.8 16V engine as commonly found in the Mk4 Astra. Really looking forward to seeing this when it's complete.

V. Quick side project. Turned up local, non runner prob destined for bangers. Astra Expression: velour seats, 15 inch wheels, manual windows, no rev counter, 60ps 1.4 Hi Torq. Needs battery, alternator & front pipe. Got all in stock. Fired up & runs fine - will MoT & up for sale

Astra CDX 1.6 auto to 2.0 16v X20XEV manual: engine, box, lever & pedals in. Air con condenser, radiator, universal cat & silencer + 2 inch pipe arrived. Got an Ashley 4 branch, Sportex str-thru mid pipe, gen GM 2.0 backbox to fabricate together. Oh and dash to refit. Progress πŸ‘

A rare bit of Vauxhall literature landed today, a confidential dealer and fleet brochure on the Mk3 Astra saloon and its main rivals. Some of these Astra models sold in tiny numbers and may well be extinct. Same for the Orion, 400 & 19 we suspect. Wonderfully in depth stuff! 🀩

Fitted a new/old stock Peco Big Bore 1 to the Cavalier Diplomat this week along with a 20SEH (non cat) system. Had to wait ages for the centre section which I had to get from Poland as there was no UK stock.

These "choose one of these four" posts are always packed with replies. Never pick one of the options. Ideally come up with something that's much more expensive and hasn't been invented 🀷🀀🀯🀣 The Golf GTi is a 16v so it looks to be the best option. XR3i no match for that lot.
