Help make Jakarta EE better!

Need some advice. I arrive at Munich Airport April 22 at 10 AM. Going to the Four Points Munich ArabellaPark hotel. Taxi will cost as much as $150. I'm thinking of taking bus, train, or subway station closest to hotel & then a taxi. Is this a viable plan? Any better options?

It was a miserable flight to Atlanta, very cramped economy seating. When I signed in for my return flight just now I was offered Business Class for $140 so I took it. Will be my first time, I hope they will be gentle with me at Air Canada.

Devnexus finished last night and today are some activities for speakers still in town. I leave tomorrow. Great conference, won a Pixel tablet at the end of con raffle. Now waiting for breakfast at a Waffle House next to the hotel.

Arrived in Atlanta last night for Devnexus. At the hotel there was a lot of hugging as people I knew from other cons or only knew from X/Twitter were at the bar. This trip I brought my big camera so don’t forget to smile or look pensive when I point it at you. 📷

Did an old man thing for my flight to Atlanta. When they announced that the flight was full & they needed volunteers to check their carry on for free I was the first to do it. No more hoisting a carry on into the overhead compartment. I have a backpack with the good stuff with me

I was lamenting the age of my XPS 13 9343 laptop the other day, thinking that it was coming up on 7 years. I was just on the Dell site and discovered it will be 9 years old in October. What should I get it for its nineth birthday? What should I get me . . . I think a new laptop💻

I am traveling to Atlanta, Georgia on Monday for my first visit to the city to present at and attend Devnexus , the longest-running and largest Java Ecosystem Conference in the world. I can’t wait!

It’s time to consider replacing my 7 year old XPS 13. It still functions as long as it’s plugging in but having only 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD is limiting what I can do with it. The Dell XPS 13 Plus looks interesting but will be over $2500. Please give me your recommendations.

I have started to read the 3 Body Problem trilogy. This first book, just up to ch 6, fills in some holes in the TV series. It surprises me how openly the barbarism of the Cultural Revolution is presented. My misunderstanding of China leads me to be surprised it was ever published

We have been watching the 3 Body Problem, one episode each evening. From here on when anyone mentions nano fibers I will think of episode 5.

I haven’t been to a bar to watch live music in 20+ years but tonight my son-in-law was playing as part of MontrealJam. Adults who can play an instrument take a ten week course as a member of a band that culminates in a live show. He is the drummer in Joan Jett cover band.

I'm free that week!
