For those who may not have seen, here's one of my tailors explaining how he would create a pattern for a large chested woman. You can see why this would be difficult to do in ready-to-wear, made-to-measure, or post-purchase alterations x.com/dieworkwear/st…

Listening to some commentary around the Starmer-Europe visits, it seems very few have learned from the Brexit negotiation years. The political alignment of leaders means very little in terms of cooperation - alignment between British or German/French conservatives not a thing

There are very few examples of specific policy areas where a deal with the UK is worth more to an EU nation than keeping things balanced with rest of the 27. There are some, but few. Most of those can be squared but where they can’t the zero-sum outcome tends to win

“Hitler died in ’45. Trump was born in ’47. That gave the devil two years to steal a soul.” “Kamala slept her way to the top.” The overarching message in small town Indiana is one of deep polarisation. 🇺🇸 Lewis Goodall

Interesting chart showing Britain’s sluggish growth since the pandemic broke out and putting us way down the pecking order. Though in truth no major European economy has grown by that much since end-2019.

There's a difference between how respondents view "immigration" and "border security" in the polls but it's small. I think most people conflate them most of the time. Although these polling data doesn't prove that there's a major overlap, it's consistent with my theory.
