Our youngest helpers. These 11-13 yo guys come to Sant’Egidio to pack food for refugees. Our community is a place where they can find friends and support as almost all of them study online.

Cardinal Matteo #Zuppi visited the humanitarian center of Sant’Egidio in Kyiv. Here is provided the assistance to refugees and children. “This is how peace begins, by helping others. Heart by heart”, he said.

Sant’Egidio sends water to Nikopol, where people are left without drinking water after Russians destroyed the dam.

«My granny and grandpa with disability is in Oleshky, they are on the rooftop of their house waiting for someone to save them. Russians don’t help and even prevent the evacuation (the city is occupied)”, a child from the school of peace says. This pain is boundless.

I was deeply moved by the stories of these teenagers. The war destroyed their lives, but they say: "We survived loneliness, losses and fear, so now we can better understand other refugees". Together, we can turn their trauma and tragedy into their strength

Sant'Egidio helps in Lviv district hit by missiles overnight. 6 people were killed and dozens injured.  Sant'Egidio distributes basic necessities to those displaced from the buildings destroyed in the airstrikes.

Sant’Egidio Summer school in Ivano-Frankivsk 🇺🇦 is done. 4 days with 35 refugee children who suffer of war and loneliness a lot. Finally, friends and joy. I’m proud of our youngsters who did it!
