Today in science, Year 3 became young physicists! They explored which materials are reflective and investigated how to change the direction of light. Amazing curiosity and teamwork on display. Well done Year 3 🔬✨.

We did it! Not only did we achieve our target of 785 miles we smashed it and as a school ran/walked 831 miles. The children were unbelievable showing tremendous determination to keep going. Well done everyone you’ve made us so proud 💛💙Tameside SSP

🏏 What a way to wrap up Day 3 of Sports Week! 🏏 Today ended with the much-anticipated Year 6 vs Teachers rounders match. The teachers extended their unbeaten streak with a 9½ to 3 victory. 👏 Let the streak continue… until next year! Tameside SSP

Yesterday our year 5/6 team took part in quadkids at East Cheshire Harriers. It was a great afternoon with all children competing to the best of their ability. Well done team 💙💛Tameside SSP

Yesterday our year 5/6 rounders team won the Tameside Catholic Schools rounders competition. They demonstrated great teamwork and sportsmanship well done team 💛💙Tameside SSP

This morning we took some children to 3v3 football to round out our sporting events for the year. We had a great time, played loads of matches and scored lots of goals. Thank you to the organisers we will definitely be back💙💛 Tameside SSP

This morning in Year 3, we explored the artwork of Quentin Blake and attempted to recreate some of his masterpieces. I was extremely impressed by the children's effort and creativity. 🖌️🖼️

Our chess players have just started their Greater Manchester Competition at Manchester Central Library. We are wish them the best of luck. ♟️♟️
