Wonderful concert from the London Symphony Orchestra and #SimonRattle on BBC Radio 3. They finished with the radiant Vaughan Williams symphony No.5 - truly British soul music.

Hi English National Opera Sian Evans and I left a tribute last night to our dear friend of 50 years, Ian Jordan who died suddenly two weeks ago. He loved #music and #opera, and had been going to the #Coliseum all the time we knew him, including many first nights. Much much missed.

Last chance to see the fab Letizia Battaglia show at The Photographers' Gallery . Yes, it's the mafia killing shots that grab the headlines, BUT the photos of children are the real stars of this show - real humanity and understanding. Finishes tomorrow... thephotographersgallery.org.uk/whats-on/letiz…

Very good news as #London air #pollution down since #Ulez extended to outer #boroughs, study finds. Shame on the boroughs that fought Ulez, wasting local taxpayer money & endangering their health. London Councils The Guardian #Traffic theguardian.com/environment/20…

Very well done to Andrew McGregor for a fab #recordreview programme on BBC Radio 3 today - quite the achievement.👏 As for the Julio Cesare track picked - the best one IMHO would have to be #SarahConnolly Glyndebourne in the David McVicar production with the great William Christie.

If you want to see what #globalwarming looks like, watch the 6 million tons of rock and ice in the glacier above #blatten , #Switzerland tumble into the valley below. Spectacular and very scary. BBC News (UK) BBC Science News
