Just relocated the drake Canvasback in the large Aythya flock off the end of Lodge Lane. Flock is fairly mobile and has been relatively close to the viewing screen though spending a lot of time across towards Pumping Station. BirdGuides RareBirdAlertUK

Osprey briefly circling over Cuttail Fishing Pond near Kirkby Woodhouse this morning brightened up an otherwise pretty dull BBS this am. Female Wheatear also in the ploughed field by footpath West of Sherwood Park Notts Birdwatchers

Male stonechat on the moor at Allt-na-guibhsaich. Striking pale underparts at ~150m. In full song. Orange limited to breast, big white collar, large white rump, and black auxilliaries... Siberian? The SOC BirdGuides RareBirdAlertUK Lee Evans (LGRE) - the official account Martin Collinson #BLM

Afternoon trip to enjoy the roost LWT Wild News Willow Tree Fen this evening. 22 Cranes, 18 Marsh Harriers plus a single Bewick's Swan with the Whoopers. Bonus woodcock out of the treeline opposite the entrance as we were leaving too.

Clumber Park 09.01.25 3 surprisingly vocal Hawfinches around the Chapel. Lake was mostly frozen which concentrated the gulls into a dense flock but was still able to locate the regular adult Mediterranean, a brutish 1w Yellow-legged, and a textbook 2w Caspian Notts Birdwatchers

Won't win any prizes but pleased to locate the long-staying adult Iceland Gull coming into the roost Chasewater Wildlife. Picked up as it came in overhead onto the far side of the water just after 16:30. Also 5 Caspians ( 3 ads + 3w + 1w) and 2 Yellow-leggeds (ad + 2w)

Top quality birding RSPB Middleton Lakes yesterday. Male lesser spotted woodpecker drumming in full view on several occasions and a female drumming in the same area but only seen briefly. Also 4 little ringed plovers were a nice year tick and the dubious red-breasted goose at JW North

Nice trip out to the Lincs coast today. Started off with a dapper drake Garganey and a Spoonbill at Anderby Marsh followed by the Black Redstart at Gibraltar Point which was otherwise pretty quiet save for 3 Chiffchaffs in the dunes Lincsbirding LWT Wild News

Some more of today's Western Subalpine Warbler Gibraltar Point Bird Observatory today. Occasionally disappeared into the buckthorn but generally quite cooperative. Informative spread tail clinched too though no doubts about ID! Lincsbirding
