It's always so interesting to hear the different ways people conceive of and build proposals. I sort of see mine as passing through a room- Objective 1 closes the door to the previous room, O2 explores the room you are in thoroughly, and O3 cracks the door a bit to the next room.

First preprint from the lab! We have a new tool that automates the annotation of many kinds of bacterial genome and MGE features. It also includes gene databases for plant-associated microbes and an optional Agrobacterium-specific pipeline. Try it out!

Excited to learn our non-transgenic canker-resistant citrus generated by crispr genome editing exempted by EPA, by APHIS, for use by growers! They are the 1st to receive EPA exemption for gene-edited plants! ThanksNIFA funding!Thanks@usda_nifa ⁦⁦U.S. EPA⁩⁦USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service

Check out our new Phytobiomes first look paper led by Stephen Taerum! He observed that inoculating plants with a low number of rhizosphere protist isolates consistently established protist community. apsjournals.apsnet.org/doi/10.1094/PB…

I had a great visit to Off the Wall Orchard in Concord New Hampshire, and learned about their successful story of using protective agriculture to grow organic apples under a humid climate. no water=less disease Thanks Ron for hosting me!🌿🍎
