1,300 MAT CEOs, paid average salaries of around £150,000, totals £195 million annually. Before academies there were 153 LA Directors of Education; there still are. This guy's £500k isn't the real scandal, academisation has been - and is - a colossal drain on Education finances.

People across Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket have told me they're struggling to access urgent mental health support. It's fantastic news that the Government is expanding 24/7 mental health units across England. Ten trusts across the country have already opened these services.

Never could a divide be clearer. The Tories left our school estate to RAAC and ruin, children paid the price. Labour is fixing our crumbling schools because children growing up in our country deserve the best start in life. Our Plan for Change will deliver it.

This is the difference between a Tory government which allows our schools to crumble, and a Labour government which invests in positive learning environments for our children.

I simply can’t wait for the Doggies to realise that Kent Council needs to make £50m+ savings this year (total £810m since 2010) and that they still have 1300 statutory duties they have no power to avoid. Got my popcorn ready.
