I’m currently working in Northern Cyprus as an onboard observer. The Cyprus bycatch project and SPOT Marine Life have been collecting data since 2018 on fisheries and bycatch, I will be using this data to explore diversity and distribution of elasmobranchs in the area- Martha O’Keefe

Check out my project video to see what I got up to in Northern Cyprus this summer. I cannot thank SPOT Marine Life and The Cyprus Bycatch project enough for having me, or the local fishermen for welcoming me onto their boats (and making me endless Turkish coffees) Marine Vertebrate MSc (U of Exeter) 🦈
