Wildfire 3 to 4 miles east of New Mexico-Oklahoma State Line on SH-325. Fire units on scene and OHP unit I-512 dispatched to assist.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Marine Enforcement Troopers investigated a drowning that took place 7/17/18 on Fort Supply Lake, in Northwest Oklahoma. Troopers recovered the victim at 5:44 PM, on 7/18/18. The body was taken to the Medical Examiners Office for positive identification.

Three vehicle injury accident Northwest of Woodward on US-183, on 8/22/18. One driver transported to hospital. Southeast bound lanes blocked for about an hour. Big thanks to ODOT for helping with traffic control.

Trooper Austin Ellis, being Air Evac to Oklahoma City, after being involved in a shooting in Woodward. Shooting took place early Sunday morning, on the 26th. Trooper Ellis is recuperating and suspect is in custody. Thanks to all the agencies that assisted.

On September 7th, Trooper Austin Ellis #318, was honored at the Shattuck vs. Burns Flat football game in Shattuck. Trooper Ellis was an Honorary Caption and assisted with the coin toss. Trooper Ellis was wounded in a shoot out during a traffic stop on August 26th.

The Woodward Driver License Office will be closed Tuesday, September 25th.

A memorial service was held today in Woodward for Retired 1LT Gilbert "Dub" Wayne Armstrong. LT Armstrong was a graduate of the 19th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy. He served with the OHP from 1965-1987. LT Armstrong was buried with full Highway Patrol Honors.

I had the opportunity to speak at the Red Ribbon Speak Out in Ft Supply yesterday. The program was attended by local area high school students. I spoke on the Victim's Impact Panel about the dangers and consequences of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Woodward county roads are slick in spots. Roads are worst in Harper and Ellis counties. Currently working several accidents in Harper county. Give yourself extra time for travel today. Have a safe day.

Driving while sleepy can be just as dangerous as driving while impaired. This driver was lucky, she was wearing her seat belt and survived with minor injuries. If you get sleepy pullover and rest. We want everyone to have a safe holiday season.

Roads are snow packed on US-183 17 miles Southeast of Woodward and getting worse the further east you go. Several trucks stuck causing slow moving traffic.. Be safe and be prepared for delays.

Today was the annual Outdoor Classroom at Boiling Springs State Park. I was invited to speak to over 200 area 3rd Graders. I spoke to the groups about seat belt safety and demonstrated the Roll Over Simulator to them. The simulator draws a lot of interest from the students.

Working construction zone south east of Woodward on US-183. Slow down in construction zones so highway workers have a safe work environment.

Single vehicle Injury accident 20 miles southeast of Woodward on US-183. Driver flown to OU Medical by Air Evac and passenger transported to Woodward, where she was treated and released. Roadway was closed about 45 minutes while wrecker removed vehicle.
