Parents in academia: How much parental leave did you take on average per kid?

This underpowered, non-representative poll suggests that in academia, men take fewer months parental leave than women. I find this remarkable at least for Germany where men could take much more parental leave. Does someone know a paper that investigated this on a larger scale?
