It’s such a relief to get back planting trial plots. We planted a winter wheat/Septoria tritici trial for AHDB Cereals in nice conditions at Shanagarry this morning. It’s one disease that we are guaranteed to get regardless of the year. We’re almost there with planting! 🌾🌞🌾

Keep a close eye on late sown cereals. Slug numbers have been very high and they pose a threat to newly emerging crops. Wheat in particular is susceptible to seed damage as it doesn’t have the same kind of skin as barley or oats 🌾🌾🌾 Goldcrop Teagasc Tillage Team
