Today, the Goncalves and Odom laboratories have released our discoveries arising from our simultaneous single-cell profiling of all five primary tissues of the female reproductive tract – encompassing all stages of estrus cycling.

How do female mammals cyclically generate oocytes? What molecular and transcriptional cycles are associated with this keystone of reproduction? In which cells? How does this process decline during ageing?

Our dataset on the cycling and #aging female reproductive tract is now online! biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We did a transcriptomic characterization of 50 cell types from 5 female reproductive tissues in young mice during estrus, pregnancy, and in acyclic old mice. @dkfz #singlecell
