This is out there, I know, but I can't help but get the feeling that we're about a year or two away from hearing about plans for an EU firewall to protect "democracy". Just this year, some in the EU failed in trying to break encryption to scan messages for "child protection"

I see the FF plan to remove price controls has led to expanding price controls Also, are they going to tie rents in new builds to bread and milk? Sounds equally dumb

Pretty sad for me that the most fiscally conservative thing an Irish government has done in some time involved increasing the cost of employment. Is the loophole expanding 0-hour contracts to the higher end of the lower skill roles?

The reason it is economically viable to use good agricultural land is because the grid is paying them 10-13c/kWh. Our average wholesale price in 2025 was 11.4c/kWh. In 2019 (before the Greens got into power) the average was 5c/kWh

I find it really funny that the EU have rightly noticed our over-reliance/ lack of competitiveness with the US in certain markets but have decided that the way to correct that is centralised planning

This story is actually insane: • dude drops $2000 on a DJI robot vacuum like a lunatic • refuses to use the normal app like a peasant • Sammy Azdoufal fires up Claude to crack the API so he can drive it with an xbox controller • Claude delivers the goods • pulls an auth
