⚠️ #Myanmar : Conflict has escalated across multiple regions during March.

In #Rakhine , civilians are bearing the brunt of ongoing fighting, which exacerbates already severe humanitarian needs.

(1/2) 14-year-old Paing stepped on a landmine while searching for his family’s injured cow at a neighborhood farm in eastern Myanmar. His right leg was blown off, and his hands & other leg were badly injured.

Three times increase in civilian casualties.
Over 20 per cent of them children.

Myanmar now ranks among the countries most heavily contaminated by landmines and explosive ordnance worldwide.

UNICEF's Landmine Incident Monitoring Report revealed a staggering 270 per cent increase in casualties in 2023 compared to those recorded in 2022.
