War leaves mental scars. Across 🇺🇦, UNHCR & partners provide psychosocial 1st aid to evacuees + after attacks as well as longer-term care to help people deal w traumas. Like in YaMariupol hub in Dnipro, where NGO Proliska conducts programs for 5-10 year-olds & their parents.

#OCHAthanks Kingdom of Saudi Arabia🇸🇦 for your longstanding support to UN Humanitarian, CERF - The UN's emergency fund and Yemen Humanitarian Fund. Your generosity helps the most vulnerable people around the world, especially in crises like Sudan, Ukraine and Yemen. Together, we #InvestInHumanity.

Civilians in border communities in the #Sumy Region face growing humanitarian needs as attacks increase. United Nations and humanitarian partners are coordinating the efforts with local actors to ensure a tailored response to support for most vulnerable displaced people, including women.

“It was terrifying… But thank God, we’re alive.” When a sudden strike hit her village in Donetsk region🇺🇦, Kateryna’s house was damaged. UNHCR's partner Angels of Salvation provided emergency aid, assessed the damages & supported the family with materials for quick repairs.

🌈 A little island of childhood has appeared in Zaporizhzhia - ROKADA, CHARITABLE FOUNDATION has created a space for children. 🎈 In a shelter that houses over 350 internally displaced Ukrainians, kids can now build with LEGO, read fairy tales, climb a draw, play air hockey. #UHF OCHA Ukraine

#Odesa has endured heavy strikes in recent days, destroying homes and livelihoods and leaving nearly 400 families struggling. Humanitarians are helping those hit hardest. Acted Ukraine is registering the affected families for cash support so they can buy essentials and recover.

The war in #Ukraine has stolen safety, stability and childhood from the children. But hope lives on. Humanitarians like godivchata help kids heal from fear and loss. Through play, learning and care, they bring back moments of joy and help children smile again.
