1/5 🩺 Are #microplastics and #nanoplastics (MNPs) harming our health? 🔬 Scientists are finding these tiny plastic particles in many parts of the human body and in people all over the world. This includes in our blood and during pregnancy in the womb.

2/5 Babies are being exposed to micro- and nanoplastics before they are born – a period of life when our children's bodies are most fragile. ⚠️ Scientists are busy studying MNPs more closely, and first peer-reviewed research finds that they have some concerning health impacts:
