Guehi didn't agitate for a move when Newcastle offered £65m last summer, likewise when Spurs offered £70m in January. He's delivered silverware and Europe to Palace for the first time. Denying him the move is what sets the precedent for other players to act out, not Isak.

I knew Britain was in deep trouble the moment it gave up on morality. Consequentialism is rising—and I tell you plainly, it will not end well. Let this be my warning.

The modern Left's ethical framework is non-existent. I thought it was primarily ideological issue. However, I see the same on the political right. This is clearly a cultural issue and it's pervasive. I wrote this some months back. The English sensibility is disintegrating fast.

Many now treat racism as a social phenomenon—a tool for navigating power—rather than as an affront to the imago Dei. Stripped of its moral weight, it becomes something to manage, not repent of. Britain can't meaningfully be called Christian country today. Time to accept that.

The true sign of spiritual growth isn’t how much theology you know, but how much humility you show—because humility requires surrendering control.

A question on the principle (not context) around self-segregating. If a Christian community decides to creates it's own eco-system (schools, housing, media etc) because it believes wider society rests on flawed premises. Have they created a parallel society?

Law can only really assess outcomes and structures, not intentions or inner motivations. So if a Christian community builds schools, housing, or media for itself, the law may categorise that as parallel society.

Can someone who understands the inner workings of the police please explain why they genuinely struggle to attend immediate criminality such a shoplifting? Yet seem very organised with regards to these kind of scenarios? The optics are just awful.

Many films, even when they aren’t explicitly religious, draw from Christological patterns because the story of Christ (Messianic hero—chosen one from obscurity) has so deeply shaped the Western and global imagination.

The problem with many centrists looking at the Green move to the left is they think “this is obviously insane”. Or right wingers dunking on Polanski’s views on immigration. I agree to an extent. But the Greens aren’t talking to you. And they shouldn’t be talking to you.

This is probably my favourite novel as an adult. Simple but an excellent prose. Superb reading. A tragic reminder that no culture is immune to decline. Change is indeed the only constant in life. The question is rather how does one navigate life without losing themselves.

Self-esteem is foundational. If you know your worth, you carry yourself differently, handle setbacks with resilience, and can love others freely. Without it, everything else is fragile.

Clarity is something that so many lack on this app. Moral logic is all over place. Few are coherent in expressing their thoughts. However, many do grasp how to capture emotion and narrative. This is why X best functions imo as a space for activism (amplifying messages).
