BGS host Spalding Grammar in a Y9/10 mixed Cricket team.

Yesterday we took a team in each year group 7-10 to compete in the South Lincolnshire Athletics. It was a great day for all and the boys were excellent.

Team results: Y7 - 3rd place (67 points) Y8 - 5th place (58 points) Y9 - 4th place (60 points) Y10 - 3rd place (71 points) Good effort from all.

Team Dunn had a solid first day cycling the hills. Some excellent core skills recorded. Also managed to avoid the rain, just 🙌🏻

Well done to our U16 Athlete Stephen Williams who competed in the 2025 English School track and field championship competing in triple jump at Alexander Stadium in Birmingham! An outstanding achievement that the PE team are very proud of. Well done Stevo!

The GCSE cohort have smashed their cycling over the past two days, now onto their climbing! Safety first, learning how to correctly secure their helmets and harnesses before rope tying 🧗🚴

Our Wally of the day for the cycling race was Sam McMeechan. He wore it well.

Last nights Wally was awarded to Harry King for flying off the wall and nearly leaving a Harry shape hole in the wall. That’s his hatrick to make the mantelpiece!

Today’s Wally was Zak (harshly votes). He’s got the double whammy though as he received student of the week from the instructors for her outstanding resilience after having a heavy crash on day 1 to come back and complete everything to a good standard. Great work 🙌🏻

We are on route back to Boston with an ETA 5:00pm. A very quiet bus journey with some tired students.
