Bought by my parents (fireman and teacher) for £116K in 1997. The current owner sold it in July for £765K. Since 1997, the house price to wage ratio has rocketed. No amount of “life style adjustment” can hide this erosion of the lower middle class - see attached graph.

November recap, halfway into December. Sorry! A lot happened, but to pick, a chance to get behind the wheel of a semi-auto bus, a revisit to some cool places on both sides of the Pennines, and the first week or so of a childhood bucket list tick, a trip to Hong Kong. Whew! 😅

Found a fruit and nut mix with a perfect fruit:nut ratio, maybe life isn't all that bad at the moment. 🥹

Well, 2024. Didn't perish, actually had fun, and finished the year at a New Year's do where I made apple crumble and custard for myself and 8 other people. Sound. See you next year x
