We lovingly restored the historic dew pond in Newton-on-Rawcliffe as part of our Birds on the Edge project. Beaches were added to support Turtle Dove whose numbers have plummeted by 97%. It is now a buzzing hub of biodiversity and Turtle Dove have been spotted here this summer.

Good things happen in Scarborough.

For the Birds on the Edge project, students from Scarborough Pupil Referral Service created Redstart boxes which were placed in Raincliffe Woods. Through these conservation sessions students connected with nature and learnt practical ways to support it. 📸 Anna Bean

“𝙄 𝙘𝙖𝙣’𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙡𝙠𝙨 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙡𝙮 𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝”. We proudly run a monthly wellness walk in the North York Moors National Park for men attending #ANDYSMANCLUB. Participants tell us how this connection with nature boosts their mental health.

We held our first family residential for the Birds on the Edge project. Children and parents connected with nature together through play. These sensory nature activities boost health, wellbeing and development and inspire a lifelong love of nature and its protection. 💚
