Unsere Gruppe ist offiziell. "NEURONEX: The fabric of the primate neocortex and the origin of mental representations. From transcriptomics to single neurons and neuronal networks”. Wir danken U.S. National Science Foundation CIHR DFG public | @[email protected] für diese einzigartige Möglichkeit internationaler Forschung
Notre équipe est officielle. "NEURONEX: The fabric of the primate neocortex and the origin of mental representations. From transcriptomics to single neurons and neuronal networks”. Merci beaucoup U.S. National Science Foundation CIHR DFG public | @[email protected] d’avoir assemblé cette opportunité fantastique.
NXWM is a network of researchers from Yale University University of Pittsburgh Harvard University New York University Primatenzentrum DPZ Uni Göttingen Max Planck Society Western University CAMH Research with a wide range of expertise but a common goal: to identify the neural substrates and mechanisms of working memory in the brain.

To understand the brain, we must understand its parts — the cells. In a paper out today in Nature Neuroscience, our scientists & collaborators propose the adoption of a transcriptome-based taxonomy of cell types for mammalian neocortex. #TeamScience #OpenScience nature.com/articles/s4159…
NeuroNex: The Fabric of Neocortex is making a list of articles as recommended readings for those interested in mental representations and neuronal circuitry: sciencedirect.com/science/articl…
NeuroNex: The Fabric of Neocortex job alert. Postdoc with Goettingen Neuroanatomy doing patch clamp electrophysiology+3D neuronal reconstruction+single cell-RNAseq. Fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals that also want to reach across disciplines. Come meet our team. Re-Tweet bitte, please, SVP.
Interested in the prefrontal corridor dlPFC - A32 - A25 and how it may serve as a pathway for emotional regulation? Uber-interesting paper here from Boston University UAM Autónoma Madrid neuroanatomists. Much needed: pathways, layer and neuron type specificity. jneurosci.org/content/40/43/…

WM lesions #2: 1951 Chow, Bloom & Bloom reported that lesions of the PFC but not posterior association cortices in macaques produce deficits in delayed response tasks & hyperactivity. Inferior temporal lesions also produced some delay response deficit. journals.physiology.org/doi/abs/10.115….
How did neurons in prefrontal cortex evolve special firing properties, and how do single-neuron dynamics translate to the network level? Come work with us Western Centre for Brain and Mind and join an international NeuroNex team (nxwm.io) Yale Neuroscience New York University in #compneuro!
